Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mobile Physiotherapist to join our team and provide high-quality physiotherapy care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. As a Mobile Physiotherapist, you will assess, treat, and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions, helping patients recover and improve their quality of life through personalized treatment plans.
You will be working independently to deliver effective physiotherapy services while maintaining excellent patient relationships. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required for this role, as you will be traveling to patients' homes or designated locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, including mobility, posture, strength, pain levels, and range of motion.
Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual needs and goals, including exercise therapy, manual therapy, and other modalities.
Patient Education: Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and strategies for self-management, including posture correction, lifestyle adjustments, and rehabilitation exercises.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
Home Visits: Travel to patients' homes or designated locations to provide physiotherapy treatments, ensuring safety and comfort during each visit.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic and effective approach to patient care.
Patient Support: Offer ongoing support, encouragement, and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they understand the importance of consistency and adherence to their treatment plan.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy.
Licensure: Manitoba physiotherapy registrant.
Experience: All experience levels welcome.
Skills:
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent manual therapy skills.
Knowledge of evidence-based treatments and rehabilitation techniques.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel.
First aid and CPR certification (preferred).
Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
Ability to lift and carry equipment and assist patients with mobility (as needed).
